Janet Dixon-Metcalf
C Flute, Alto flute – graduated from Bowling Green State University with degrees in flute performance and sociology. She freelances extensively as a chamber musician, and as co-founder of a flute/harp duo and a flute/harp/cello trio, performed at the Sunken Garden Poetry Festival, was a featured soloist with The Farmington Valley Symphony and in various recitals including the Gallery Chamber Series at SUNY. In June, 2016, Janet was invited to play in The Connecticut Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra’s Greve Opera and Chamber Music Festival in Greve-in-Chianti, Italy. She is the long-time principal flutist for the Trinity Chamber Series and the annual Boarshead Festival at Trinity U. Methodist Church in Springfield, MA.
Monica Fitzgerald
C Flute pianist, singer, songwriter, graduate of Hartwick College and Boston Conservatory of Music. She has been teaching elementary music in New Canaan, CT since 1999. Served as principal flutist with the Rome Festival Orchestra, toured with the Nebraska Theater Caravan, and recorded with the Boston Camerata. Monica performs throughout the tri state area as a flutist, pianist, and singer in a variety of styles. She was the focus of the documentary The Pied Piper of La Gonave, about her experience teaching music on the remote island of La Gonave in Haiti. Monica is also one of the stars of the Children's Television show "Mike and Monica's Music Room"Mike & Monica's Music Room.
Amy Hannequin
C flute, alto flute - B.S. In Mus.Ed ,Duquesne University,Pittsburgh, PA. Amy performs with the Danbury Community and Symphony Orchestras, Connecticut Master Chorale, and chamber ensembles in the Western Connecticut area including the Hat City Flute Choir. Amy has been teaching public school in Connecticut since graduating Chorus director and instructor for digital music and instrumental classes for Bethel Middle School, in Bethel, CT. She has held the position of Woodwind Director for Bethel High School Marching Bands, first place for the US Bands National Championships for Class II. She works for the Connecticut Music Educators Association having served as the State Judge Chair, member of the Student Affairs Commission, and Chair for the Elementary Honors Choir. She teaches lessons and flute choir at Sharps and Flats.
Elizabeth Kitson-Arnold
summa cum laude. She principal flutist of the Catskill Symphony Orchestra and the Wallingford Sympony Orchestra. She has also performed with the Utica Symphony Orchestra, Clinton Symphony of the Mowhak Valley, Bridgeport Symphony Orchestra, Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra and New Britian Symphony Orchetra. She is on the music faculty of Choate Rosemary Hall and was a faculty member of the Manhattan School Summer Music Camp from 2005-2008. Her former teachers include Michael Parloff, Mary Karen Clardy, and Alberto Almarza.
